Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in both men and women, yet, partially because of the stigma of cigarette smoking, has far less funding for research than other forms of cancer. Astoundingly, the fastest growing group of lung cancer patients is young women, below the age of 40, who have no known risk factors, including smoking.
