Founder Of “Stoney’s Lobster Run” Dies John “Stoney” Dionne Died Saturday

100_8447jpgA Maine man who dedicated much of his life to raising money for local charities, including the Maine Children’s Cancer Program, died Saturday.

John “Stoney” Dionne founded Stoney’s Lobster Run 29 years ago. The annual motorcycle ride raised money for various local charities.

After helping raise money to fight cancer, Dionne was diagnosed with lung cancer earlier this year.

John “Stoney” Dionne was 56 years old.

Red Sox TV analyst Remy returns to work

remy-jerryJerry Remy is working in the Boston Red Sox broadcast booth for the first time in more than three months.

The color analyst on the team’s telecasts returned Friday night for Boston’s game against the Yankees. He took a leave of absence in early May after developing an infection and pneumonia following surgery for lung cancer late last year.
