Cholesterol lowering drugs reduce lung cancer risk

statinsCommonly used cholesterol lowering drugs – called statins – may also protect against lung cancer and complications of smoker’s lung, according to a review of over 90 scientific papers by researchers from The University of Auckland and Auckland City Hospital.
