Glendale women target $10,000 for cancer
“I’m not one to whine. I just take it as it comes. It is not the best thing to have happen to you but you take it in stride.”
Kelly moved from England to just outside of Bearspaw 10 years ago after experiencing her first bout of lung cancer in 1993.
In 1998, the cancer came back and doctors were forced to remove all but three of the lobes in her lungs.
“You have to learn to grin and bear it and laugh about it,” said Kelly.
“It is no good getting yourself in a tiff about it because there is nothing you can do about it.”
