Cancer Patients May Not Grasp Illness Severity
In some instances, the researchers found, the insidious nature of the cancer itself played a part. About half of the patients had lung cancer, and when their disease recurred the initial signs were subtle, such as frequent colds or fever, or recurrent bouts of breathlessness.
