Lung Cancer: Fifth Cause of Death in Mexico
Bronchial carcinoma or lung cancer is the third and fifth cause of death in Mexico. At the Specialty Hospital of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS, in Spanish) it is the first reason for receiving hospital care and in Puebla it figures as the fifth and sixth cause of death. This was revealed by the chief of the Neumology Clinical Department and Inhalation Therapy from the Specialty Hospital Medical Center Manuel Ávila Camacho from the IMMS, Luis Meneses Guzmán.
