High levels of cadmium found in lung cancer patient blood, hair
High levels of Cadmium have been found in the blood and scalp hair of lung cancer patients, indicating the chemical’s carcinogenicity. These findings appeared in an article ‘Determination of cadmium in whole blood and scalp hair samples of Pakistani male lung cancer patients by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometer’ that appeared in the journal ‘Science of The Total Environment’ (Volume 389, Issues 2-3, 25 January 2008; 270-276).
