German Cancer Centre Upgrades Treatment Machine with Varian On-Board Imager to Offer Patients Advanced and Precise Radiotherapy Treatments
Cancer patients in southern Germany are receiving advanced, fast and precise image-guided radiotherapy treatments with the addition of image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) to a regional hospital’s capabilities. A Clinac linear accelerator at Klinikum Passau has been retrofitted with an On-Board Imager accessory from Varian Medical Systems, making it only the second hospital in the country to undergo such an upgrade.
