Hundreds come out for Lung Cancer Awareness run and walk

walk.jpg Nearly 400 people came out to support the seventh annual Lung Cancer Awareness 5K run and walk.

Lung cancer is the number one killer of both men and women in the U.S. The proceeds will be donated to a research center in Syracuse.

Newly Published Phase II Study Shows the Investigational Drug Vandetanib Prolongs Progression-Free Survival in Patients with Advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC)

vandetanib.jpgResults published today in the Journal of Clinical Oncology(1) show that the AstraZeneca investigational once-daily oral anti-cancer drug vandetanib (ZACTIMA), in combination with docetaxel, improved progression free survival (PFS) in patients with advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC).

Lilly Files for European Approval of ALIMTA(R) (pemetrexed for injection) for First-Line Treatment of Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer
