Journalist fighting cancer dies in bed
Süter, 57, had been fighting lung cancer for over two years. “All possible treatment methods had been exhausted,” Professor Adnan Aydıner from the Çapa School of Medicine Oncology Department said. “He had not been responding to treatment for the past three months,” Aydıner explained. Funeral services for Süter will be held tomorrow since his family agreed to requests for a one-day delay from many parliamentary deputies who were worried they would miss Süter’s funeral because of today’s presidential election.
