Lung Cancer Patients Need Help to Quit Smoking

imagesCAMO4Z4H.jpgMany lung cancer patients who smoke will pick up the habit again after treatment, usually within the first two months after surgery, a new study shows.However, the longer the patients can hold off after surgery before smoking again, the more likely they are to be completely abstinent from cigarettes by 12 months after the operation, Dr. Mark S. Walker of Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and colleagues found.
