Cancer Drug Fails Test, and the Company’s Stock Tumbles
Telik, a biotechnology company, said Tuesday that a cancer treatment in the experimental stage failed to improve survival in patients with advanced lung cancer or in patients with ovarian cancer, setting off a 70 percent decline in its share price.
