Pfizer Says CHMP Gives Positive Opinion For Anti-Smoking Pill Champix – Update

UCSF Researchers Fingerprint Lung Tumors, Test New Drug Candidate

jablon.jpgOur own Dr. David Jablons made the LungBlog today.  Adding their own contributions to a rapidly advancing field, UCSF researchers – along with colleagues from Incyte Corporation and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center – have described new targets in lung cancer and evaluated a promising new drug candidate that halts growth signals in tumor cells grown in the lab.

New Software called “Synchrony” Detects Cancer Easier

cyberknife.jpgResearchers from the University of Pittsburgh have created a program called Synchrony.  The new software allows for easier detection of tumors thereby raising new hope against lung cancer. It also allows CyberKnife to accurately target tumors that move as a result of breathing.
